"Twenty cherries provide 25 milligrams of anthocyanins, which help to shut down the enzymes that cause tissue inflammation in the first place, so cherries can prevent and treat many kinds of pain," says Muraleedharan Nair, the lead researcher on the cherry project at Michigan State University.
What is gout? For those who ever had a gout attack they can tell you it is the worse pain ever. Just the sheets touching your skin, or even a fan blowing air on the affected area brings a horrible pain. Even being treated with medication, once a gout flare up has reached it's peak you can expect to be out of service for at least 2 to 3 weeks, maybe longer. It all depends on how bad the swelling in the are affected by the gout is. The more you rest the affected area the quicker the swelling goes down. There are many reasons that can cause a person to have the gout. The most common reason is due to high levels of protein. The following foods are considered to be high in purines..beef, pork, lamb, and seafood. A 12 year study largely confirmed that these items can cause gout. We came across a very helpful website that stated that for middle aged men, high blood levels or uric acid are a strong predictor of DEATH! From both cardio vascular disease and all causes, that's deep. When it comes to any ailment it is better for a individual to do as much research on their own as possible. |

There was a man who had the gout so bad that he was bound to a wheel chair. One day he was starving and had nothing to eat but cans of cherries. So he began eating the cherries. He began to realize that the more cherries he ate, the more he was able to move a little bit better. Pretty soon he was up and walking about! He took his discovery to scientists and they began doing research and testing patients. Sure enough, cherries worked. Doing your research you'll find that cherries have a enzyme called uricase in it. This enzyme is not created in the human body. Meat eating animals have it though. This is the 1 reason why you don't see a lion or tiger running around with the gout. We weren't created to eat meat so it's only natural that this enzyme doesn't exist in our body. So eating cherries puts this enzyme in your stomach which breaks down uric acid much quicker. This cuts down on the amounts of uric acid that seeps into the bloodstream. Once the uric acid is in the bloodstream it floats around looking for a place to build up at, usually in a joint. The big toe, ankles, and knees are common places. The worse place being the hip, near your sciatic nerve. This area is the worse of the worse. You never realize how often you use your hip area until this happens.
Sitting, standing, using the toilet, sleeping, and walking all involve the hip area. We spoke with a African American male by the name of Johnny Hayes who said he made a startling discovery. He got rid of his gout in 2 to 3 days and never had it again. HOW?!!! Simple!! He said, Just eat fruits and vegetables for 3 days straight! That's it! The gout is the result of uric acid! Stop eating foods that are acidic!! It's that simple! Eat all alkaline foods for 3 days!! Johnny Hayes says he feels alive again and even works out on a daily basis. With that being said, we strongly advise people with gout to pay close attention to what they're putting in their bodies. From your toothpaste to the foods you eat. Do plenty of research!! That is what we've done, research! We are not doctors but we post the information that doctors put out there for the public to see and become aware of. Sites Of Intrest: Los Angeles Times Article: The editor shares their findings on the subject. Medical Researchers: A lot of information was compiled into this site from doctors all over the world.
